SPIRITUAL NASCAR

THE RACE - Paul run race/finish course
Racing is where several cars race to get to the finish line first after so many laps around the track. Racing is the act of pursuing a prize in competition with others. Todays earthly racing can represent many spiritual things.

We have a spiritual race to run...

Paul said... Acts 20:24 "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might FINISH MY COURSE with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. "

The spiritual race is not a competition between drivers, but a personal competition to make it to heaven. This spiritual race has a reward, and that is eternal life with Christ.

THE RACE TRACK - earth
There are many, many different types of racetracks around the globe, and they all are unique. Each track has its own personality, turns, and bumps. Drivers have learn track and practice at the track before racing.

Spiritually, our race track is this earthly body and life we live. Each of us are different and have our own ways about us. We have to learn about ourselves, and follow God's guidance to get good at this racetrack.

THE GARAGE - the church

Each earthly racetrack has a garage. It is a place to store the race car, parts for the race car, and tools for racing. It is a place where the race team meets to build/repair the car.

The spiritual garage represents the church house. In the church there are tools to help in this spiritual race. It can contain things such as Bibles, anointing oil, musical instruments, God's presence, Sunday school literature, prayer cloths, and many more items.

THE CAR - salvation
The car, aside from the driver, is the most important part of the race. It allows the driver to guide himself swiftly around the racetrack without having to physically run himself. The car has to be configured or setup correctly to run around the racetrack at a winning speed. The driver and race team spend all their time during the race, working on the car's setup and the car's needs.

Spiritually, the race car is our salvation. We work on it, and it is unique to us because it is ours. We can allow others to help us build and repair our salvation. We do not have to physically run because our salvation has already been built for us by Jesus Christ. He done the running by sacrificing himself, dying for us on the cross, and rising the third day. That is our salvation and it is the vehicle we use to win the race with.

THE SPECTATOR - non-saved
The spectator at a race sits and watches. The spectator enjoys watching, and even sometimes trying to cause trouble by throwing items on the race track. The spectator may feel some joy if his driver wins, but he never gets to celebrate and feel the joy that the driver does. Spectators simply watch..and when the race is over, they are no longer part of the picture. Spectators are not a part of victory lane.

In spiritual racing, any spectator can become a driver. Not all spectators will become a driver. The steps to become a spiritual driver are simple, and easy to achieve. One has to simply believe a car(salvation) exists for him, accept it, and start driving.

THE DRIVER - saved
The driver is someone who initially wants to win the race. The driver can choose to quit the race at any time and become a spectator again. The reasons for joining the race are personal for the driver. The driver joined the race because he did not want to be a spectator. The driver is in complete control of his race despite the amount of help that is available to help him win. The driver is not by himself he is part of a team that can help him win the race. The team is made up of team members that help guide the driver, and the team can can also include other drivers.

The driver represents the saved person. We are part of a spiritual team, and we have brothers and sisters in Christ that can help us along the way. The spiritual race we run is personal, and we have help to win. We just have to have a burning desire to win. If we have that, everything else takes care of itself. Since our car(salvation) has already been built for us, and has the correct setup to win, all we have to do is believe it and get in.

OTHER DRIVERS - brothers/sisters in christ
Other drivers on the race track are brothers and sisters in christ. They can help you or they can hurt you. They are racing too, and sometimes they may bump into you, or try to wreck your walk with Christ, but that should never derail you from running the race. They can help you win the race too. Some are more helpful than others, but that doesn't mean some are just wrong. We all have to run our own race. We should all be helping one another in this race.

RADIO - prayer
The driver has a radio that he talks with different members of the team with. This radio represents prayer in spiritual racing. The driver does not get to see who he's talking to until after he finishes the race.

THE PIT STOP / PIT ROAD - altar
Pit stops are where the driver can park his car when the car needs to be repaired or needs something to continue the race. In the pit stop, the car is refueled(spiritual fuel), windshield is wiped off(clear vision), fresh tires put on (healing), and the driver can get a cool drink of water(spiritual).
The pit stop represents our altars. We can receive all this and more at our altar of prayer. The main difference between earthly pit stops and spiritual pit stops is that our spiritual pit stops are mobile. We don't have to go to the same place every time to get what we need. We can just pull off the side of the road at any point and get a pit stop.

THE PIT CREW
The pit crew are team members that are in the pit stop. They fix the car, give items from the crew chief to the driver, and help the driver along the way. Spiritually, this represents angels ministering to us at the altar or when we pray. They give us the spiritual gifts that God desires us to have, and give us that spiritual touch that we need to make it another mile.

After fasting for 40 days, and being tempted by the devil, Jesus required a pit stop too.
Matthew 4:11 "Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. "

THE SPOTTER - Holy Ghost
This person sits high above the race track and has the best view of the entire race. He uses binoculars to keep a perfect view of the driver at all times. He the tells the driver via radio what obstacles to watch out for on the road, lets the driver know where other drivers are at on the track, and keeps the driver updated on his speed and how he is doing in the race. The driver talks to this person more than anyone else.

The Holy Ghost is our constant source of companionship, and gives us a clear picture of what is happening around us, how we are to react to it, and what we need to do next.

THE CREW CHIEF - Jesus
This person talks to the driver by radio (prayer) to negotiate pit stops, discuss race conditions, and strategize to win the race. the crew chief always makes the final decsion. it is the driver's choice to obey. both the spotter and the crew chief work in conjunction to help the driver win the race.

VICTORY CELEBRATION - Death
When a driver wins a race, he does a victory celebration lap around the track with the checkered flag in his hand. The driver's entire team celebrates with him. It pleases God to see the death of a saint because the celebration can begin.

Psalm 116:15
"Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. "

VICTORY LANE - Heaven
This is the place where the driver parks his car, and gets out of the car AFTER he has both WON and FINISHED the race. the difference between spiritual victory lane and earthly victory lane is everyone can win spiritually, whereas only one wins the earthly race. In fact, if someone is saved and has the victory, all he has to do is FINISH the race. Victory lane is already setup for him.

MEETING THE OWNER / CREW CHEIF - meet God and Jesus...Holy Ghost too!
When the driver gets to spiritual victory lane, he gets to meet, in person, his earthly relatives that have already finished the race, past winners of the race, the pit crew(angels), the crew chief (Jesus), and the spotter (Holy Ghost). In addition to that, he gets to meet someone he has never even spoken to before. The team owner (God).

THE TROPHY / CROWN - crown of life
Every driver that wins a race gets a trophy. When we win our spiritual race, we get a crown of life.
James 1:12
"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. "

CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION - Eternal life with Christ
At the end of the racing season, a championship is awarded to the driver with the most points...not necessarily the best driver. This celebration party is held in New York. All people are invited and can be a part of it. In order to get inside the party, one has to pass through security. Anyone can watch it on TV and be a part of it, but since it is not nationally televised, a price has to be paid to watch it (cable tv). This celebration party also gives out other awards based on judgements of the drivers activities throughout the season.

The spiritual championship celebration is one that unites all the spectators and non-spectators with all the drivers. NO ONE will be left out of this celebration. Everyone has to go through through a temporary royal (brimstone) lake of refining (brimstone) fire (security or cable fees) (Rev. 20:15 "And anyone not found written in the scroll of life was cast into the lake of fire." YLT) but drivers do not have to pay. (Rev. 2:11 “...he who is overcoming may not be injured of the second death.”’ YLT). This is a celebration for ALL (saved & unsaved)...not just drivers (saved).

"..for God did so love the world, that His Son -- the only begotten -- He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during." John 3:16 YLT

"..that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow -- of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father. " Philipians 2:10-11 YLT

"And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw (drag in the Greek) ALL mankind unto Myself. " John 12:32

Jesus truly is the Savior of the World...not just those that believe in him before death. Think God cannot save after death?

"..and he who is living, and I did become dead, and, lo, I am living to the ages of the ages. Amen! and I have the keys of the hades and of the death." Revelation 1:18 YLT

This truly is the GOOD NEWS!!!!
