My Fallen Angel
Her shadow is long in grey skies
The aura of her face is fallen
An eerie calm lies upon her
Beautiful eyes closed
These paths to her soul
Broken forever
Hair that
Once rose and fell
In cury wisps
As the wind commanded
Is now matted and torn
Coldness of night
And stiffness of death
Now restrain
Hands once soft and warm
Her robe
Once smooth and delicate
Under dancing rays of sun
Now decays slowly
In the growing darkness
Her lips
once rosy and sweet
are now blackend and coarse
The barren trees
Weep of her demise
With the fall of rain
My angel
Sleeps with the ancients
Her toils of life
Now forgotten
Her soul
Waits for me
On the other side
Such as it is
Memories of her
Shall never fade
The beauty she had
Beams for a lifetime
Our shared love
Reaches into eternity
To reunite
My Angel and I
When at last
My breath is gone
